Audience Size and Best Practices

Here are some recommendations and best practices related to Mintegral Retargeting.

The numbers below refer to the total audience size in one region or geo. Please keep in mind that further audience segmentation is recommended for a successful retargeting campaign and in those audiences, the sizes reference can be smaller.

Gaming

  • Tier 1 geos: audience size > 100k

  • Non-Tier 1 geos: audience size > 1 Million

Non-Gaming

  • Tier 1 geos: audience size > 500k

  • Non-Tier 1 geos, audience size > 1 Million

  • DTC/e-commerce, on-demand services: audience size > 1 Million

Recommendation For Audience Segmentation

  • Have a short timeframe of activity, e.g. users without purchase events within the last 7-14 days etc.

  • Number of audiences:

    • Gaming: start with 1 audience group and add up to a maximum of 3 audiences.

    • Non-Gaming: start with 3 audience groups and add more highly active user groups as you need.

  • High paying value users, e.g. users who have made $1 - $50 and/or $50 - $100 payments in the last xx days but inactive in the last xx days.

  • Frequent paying users, e.g. users who made x number of payments in the last xx days but inactive in the last xx days.
