Adjust Tracking

To ensure the effectiveness of your advertising activities, ensure proper attribution and avoid missing data, please make sure to follow these guidelines for the relevant configuration.

1. Authorize applications' access to the Mintegral platform

1.1 Hover over  (Profile icon) → Select Account Settings → +New User

1.2 Input Mintegral's email address:moperation@mintegral.com

2. The New User Attribution Setup Guide

*Please note that both the probabilistic modeling for click attribution and impression attribution need to be enabled.

2.1 Go to "Campaign Lab", then click on "Partners" -> Select "Attribution Settings" -> Choose "New Users: Attribution"

⚠️Note: About the "New User Attribution" settings:

  • You could click "edit" to customize attribution settings

  • Device matching for clicks must be enabled, and the time window can be customized.

  • Probabilistic modeling: Used for attribution when there's no advertising ID. It's recommended to enable this to improve CVR.

  • Temporary attribution: For short-term promotional activities (e.g., major e-commerce promotions), avoid enabling unless specifically needed.

  • The attribution settings here only apply to this link and do not affect other links or app-level attribution.

2.2 Click on "Partners" -> Select "Link URLs"

2.3 Copy the "Click URL" and "Impression URL", then configure them in the corresponding tracking links in your offers.

⚠️Note: If the test results of the tracking link show "No postback", how can to check whether Adjust has received click, install, or other information for a specific device ID?

  • Click on "AppView" -> Click on "All Apps" -> Search for the "App to be launched" -> Click on "Testing console"

  • Enter the "Advertisement ID (Device ID)" -> "View Device Data", where you need to check the following settings:

    1. If Adjust has not received any clicks, please check if the tracking link is correct.

    2. If Adjust has received the information of click and install from your test device, please check if the setting of install postback for Mintegral is correct.

    3. If Adjust has not received the install, please check the SDK integration in the promoted APP. Attachment: Adjust official document: https://help.adjust.com/en

 

3. Grant Event Postback Data to Mintegral

*Please kindly note that we are using the automated partner postback module to receive your Adjust install and in-app data. For more details, please refer to the Official Guidebook on Adjust.

3.1 In "Campaign Lab", click on "Partners" -> Enter "Mintegral" in the search -> After displaying the result "Mintegral", click on the right side "+New Link" to add.

3.2 Enable "Data Sharing", it is strongly recommended to share "Data from all attribution sources", which helps build more accurate and comprehensive models, accelerating learning for your account.

⚠️Note: If the "Filter Ad Revenue Sources" field is left blank, Adjust will send all integrated aggregate sources to Mintegral.

3.3 Select "Map Your Events" and confirm the events that need to be sent to Mintegral

You can use the "Original Event Name" to send or use the "Custom Event Name" to name events for better management. Through event mapping, Adjust can directly forward more in-app event data (such as registrations, adding to cart) to Mintegral. We strongly recommend sending more in-app user event data, as it helps evaluate user value through in-app behavior, thereby building more accurate models.

3.3.1 Purchase Events

⚠️Note: Mintegral's standard purchase event name is "Purchase". If your purchase event "Original Event Name" is not Mintegral's standard purchase event name "Purchase", you have the following 2 options to map it to Mintegral's standard purchase event name for direct forwarding:

  • Option 1: In Adjust's "Map Your Events" section, manually map the "Original Event Name" to "Purchase"

  • Option 2: In Mintegral's "Manage Event" section, manually map the "Original Event Name" to "Purchase"

    • Enter the "Manage Event" in your account to proceed with the settings. 

    • Input the corresponding product's package name, event name, and their corresponding Mintegral event mapping categories, select submit, and complete the setup.

 

3.3.2 Non-Purchase Events

📒Below is an example of the mapping between Non-Purchase [Original Event Name] and [Mintegral Standard Event Name]:

📌📌 📌 If you need to optimize [non-purchase] events in Mintegral, there is no need to configure event mapping in Adjust; you only need to configure it in Mintegral.

  • The detailed configuration tutorial is as follows:
    • Enter the "Manage Event" in your account to proceed with the settings
    • Input the corresponding product's package name, event name, and their corresponding Mintegral event mapping categories, select submit, and complete the setup.

 

4. Retargeting Attribution Setup Guide

⚠️Note: This section applies only to reattribution (re-engagement). If you only have user acquisition needs, please ignore this part.

4.3 Obtain the reattribution tracking link

(1)In the "Campaign Lab", click on "Partners" -> Select "Attribution Settings" -> Choose "Existing Users: Reattribution"

⚠️Note:【Existing Users:Reattribution】Setting Tips

  • Adjust defaults to using the app's previous attribution settings. Clicking on 'Edit' for further customization.

  • Click-through reattribution: Must be enabled, and the time window can be customized.

  • View-through reattribution: Recommended to enable it to improve conversion rates.

  • Enable Temporary reattribution: For short-term promotional campaigns (such as E-commerce promotions), it is recommended not to enable it unless there are specific requirements.

  • The attribution settings here only apply to this link and do not affect other links or the app-level attribution.

 

    1. If you don't need to set a deeplink, please obtain the reattribution link and share the link with Mintegral team.

    2. If you need to set a deeplink, firstly, configure the application scheme in the screenshot below, then enable deep linking, and finally obtain the tracking links (click URL, impression URL) again, and share the link with the Mintegral team.

(2)Click "Next" → Click "Create Link" to jump to the "Link URL" Page. Copy the click URL and impression URL from the page and send them to your PM/AM.

4.4 Test tracking link

Please contact your account manager to schedule a test for the links. Please note the following:

    • Before the technical team begins testing, you need to adjust the "Inactivity period" for both "clicks reattribution" and "impressions reattribution" from the default days to 0.

    • Once the test is successful, the Mintegral team will contact you to revert the "Inactivity period" setting.

 

4.5 FAQ

Q1: Why do I need to fill in the deeplink?

A1: Deeplink can transfer users directly to a specific interface within the application and is an important means to provide a smooth user experience. It is recommended to leverage deep links to improve user acquisition, interaction, and retention rates.

Q2: Why can't I view cost data in Adjust through the tracking link?

A2: Currently, the cost parameter in Adjust's tracking link only takes effect for the install offer and is not valid for the re-attribution offer. Therefore, the cost data of the re-attribution offer can only be retrieved through the API. You can find the corresponding User name and API key in Account --> Basic Information on the Mintegral dashboard, and complete the API docking on Adjust.
