To ensure the effectiveness of your advertising, ensure proper attribution and avoid missing data, please make sure to follow these guidelines for the relevant configuration.

The content in Section 6 is solely for retargeting (user re-engagement). If you only have new user acquisition needs, please ignore this section.

1. Authorize Access to Mintegral

A. Search the package name in the [APP ID] field and enter the subpage.

B. Go to [Collaborate] > [Active Integrations]. Search “Mintegral” as the integrated partner and click to enter.

C. Select [Permissions] and turn on the [Ad network permissions], as well as the permissions to [Configure in-app event postbacks], [Access retention report], [Access aggregate revenue data], and [Access aggregate in-app events data].

2. Create Mintegral Attribution Links

A. Select [Collaborate] > [Active Integrations] > [Integration] and slide the [Activate partner] toggle to ON.

B. Select [Attribution link] and get the [Click-through attribution] and [View-through attribution]. Both links need to be enabled in the Mintegral Offer for tracking purposes.

  • When the post-back fails, how to see if MMP received the click and install of a device ID:

    • Select [Export] → [Raw Data Export], and advertisers need to export installation logs for troubleshooting.

  • When the test order shows the situation of 【can redirect to third-party platforms, but cannot redirect to app stores】, in addition to confirming whether the product is listed, also confirm whether the product is in an Available state on AF.

3. Advanced Privacy Settings for iOS Offers

⚠️:*iOS apps must disable the [Advanced Privacy] toggle. This feature provides stricter protection over user behavior data, which limits the ad platform's ability to track and attribute the full user journey. Since Mintegral models rely on these behavioral signals (such as D0/D7 ad revenue, purchase revenue, and event triggers) to learn and adjust performance, enabling this setting may result in data loss, hinder model learning, and ultimately impact the stability and effectiveness of ad delivery.

A. Select [Collaborate] > [Active Integrations] > [Integration], toggle [OFF] the [Advanced privacy] toggle, and click [Save] to apply the settings.

4. Enable View-through Attribution and Probabilistic Attribution Configuration Guide

A. Enable View-Through Attribution:
Select [Collaborate] > [Active Integrations] > [Integration] > [Install view-through attribution], and turn on the toggle.

B. Enable Probabilistic View-Through Attribution:
Select [Settings] > [App Settings] > [Enable View-Through Attribution Via Probabilistic Modeling], and turn on the toggle.

5. Set Up Default and In-App Event Postbacks

A. Default Postback:
Select [Collaborate] > [Active Integrations] > [Integration] > [Default Postback]. Click the dropdown menu for Send options next to [Install], then set it to [All media sources, including organic]. This option lets you share with Mintegral all postback data, which includes Mintegral-attributed, unattributed, and organic data.

    • *Important: Unattributed postbacks don't include any of your media source information.

B. In App Event Postback:

    • Turn on the [In-App Event Postbacks] toggle.

    • Under [AppsFlyer Event], select [Manual Addition], choose the events you want to postback, then select [All media sources, including organic] for [for users from] and [Values&revenue] for [including].

      • *Important: It is highly recommended to send more data on in-app events, which can help our algorithm model more accurate data by assessing user value through users' in-app behavior. Recommended events to postback are af_app_opened, af_purchase, af_ad_revenue, purchase-related events, or game level, etc.

    • In App Event Postback Window: We recommend selecting Lifetime (full cycle) to ensure that in-app event postbacks are continuously forwarded to Mintegral for campaign model optimization.

C. After event data is sent, log in to Mintegral to define the events in the “Manage Event” section.

    • Below is an example of the mapping between [Original Event Name] and [Mintegral Standard Event Name]:

Original Event Meaning Mintegral Standard Event Name
Total ad revenue of the app Ad Revenue
Total in-app purchase revenue of the app Purchase
User opens the app Open App
User reaches XX level Game Level
User registers an app account Register
User logs into the app Login App
User reaches XX level and accumulates LTV to XX amount Key Action
User reaches XX level and completes XX task Key Action
User completes the tutorial Key Action
User adds a product to the shopping cart Key Action
Other key action events Key Action
    • Enter the "Manage Event" in your account to proceed with the settings

    • Input the corresponding product's package name, event name, and their corresponding Mintegral event mapping categories, select submit, and complete the setup.

      • *Tips: To improve the efficiency of using event data and accelerate model learning, we strongly recommend completing the relevant event mapping as soon as possible after posting back the data and paying attention to the accuracy of the event mapping.
